Archie
Archie is a special rescue that lives at Rocking Horse Ranch, located in Blossom Valley, El Cajon. Having survived being pulled from the wild, a trip to the slaughter mill, being rescued and starved, and rescued again, this guy has beaten the odds and is on his way to being a healthy & happy horse.
He has become my project horse at Rocking Horse Ranch, and under the supervision of rescue's owner, I am beginning to help Archie learn how to be a horse. While he has been saddled, Archie has never been ridden. We are hoping to have this boy bombproof and ridable in the 2012 year. Stay tuned for "The Archie Files", a new blog I will be setting up so that his progress to becoming a well loved and pampered riding horse can be followed.
Rocking Horse Ranch is a non-profit organization set up to help abused and abandoned horses and other livestock. Rocking Horse Ranch is also an outreach organization dedicated to helping youth and young adults who have suffered abuse, neglect, and other life hardships, through the rescue and rehabilitation of horses, like Archie. A variety of ministry programs are offered year-round at no charge.
